James D. Treadaway of Lake City was killed when he was riding his motorized wheelchair east on S.W. Alamo Drive and attempted to cross S. Main Blvd. (U.S. 41).

Lake City Police report that Treadaway, 59, was crossing Main Blvd at S.W. Alamo Drive on Friday, July 13, at 9:25 p.m.

He was struck by a southbound car. The driver was unable to stop when Treadaway crossed in front of him. There is no cross-walk at that intersection.

Treadaway, of 1206 SW Mcfarlane Avenue, was pronounced dead on arrival of EMS.
