NOTICE OF INTENT BY THE SCHOOL BOARD OF COLUMBIA COUNTY TO ADOPT RULE AND SET PUBLIC HEARING
The School Board of Columbia County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., at the School Board Administrative Complex, 372 West Duval Street, Lake City, Florida, on proposed amendments to rules, regulations and procedures for the operation of the Columbia County School District.
The public is invited to attend. Action is anticipated at this meeting.
Persons with disabilities who require assistance to participate in the public hearing are requested to notify the Office of the Superintendent at 755-8000 at least 48 hours in advance so that their needs can be accommodated.
TITLE: Policy 6.35 – Use of Sick Leave By Family Members
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To align policies with new State Statute requirements.
SPECIFIC LEGAL AUTHORITY: 1001.41; 1001.42; 1001.43; 1012.61, Florida Statutes.
A complete text of the proposed amended rules, regulations and procedures can be obtained at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 372 W. Duval St., Lake City, FL, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and starting August 13, 2012 between the hours of 8:00 – 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Economic impact statements, where applicable, are on file in the Office of Superintendent at the above listed address.
