FDOT Road and Lane Closures for August 4 to August 10

The following is a list of roadwork underway by the Florida Department of Transportation that may affect traffic from August 4to August 10.

 LAKE CITY:  The following is a list of roadwork underway by the FDOT that may impact traffic.

COLUMBIA COUNTY:

State Road 47  Possible daytime lane closures at the new Clay Electric site south of Lake City and trucks entering and leaving daily.

US 441 North  Daytime lane closures just north and south of the Deep Creek Bridge Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for repairs to the roadway shoulders.

ALACHUA COUNTY:

Archer Road (State Road 24)  Daytime lane closures between the Levy County line and 13th Street (US 441) to repaint the roadway markings.

East University Avenue (State Road 26)  Daytime lane closures between Waldo Road (State Road 24) and North Main Street (State Road 329) to repaint the roadway markings.

Hawthorne Road (State Road 20)  Daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Southeast 27th Street and Southeast 55th Boulevard for landscaping in the medians.

Interstate 75  Daytime lane closures for southbound traffic one mile north of Northwest 39th Avenue (SR 222/Exit 390) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to repair concrete in the ditch for drainage.

Newberry Road (State Road 26)  Daytime lane closures between Northwest 34th Street (State Road 121) and the Gilchrist County line to repaint the roadway markings.

Northwest 39th Avenue (State Road 222)  Daytime lane closures west of Northwest 83rd Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for median and driveway modifications near the new Shands medical offices east of Interstate 75. 

Southwest 13th Street (US 441)  Daytime lane closures just south of Archer Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for modifications to the pedestrian overpass (old railroad bridge). This work is being done through the City of Gainesville’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and will be ongoing through September.

State Road 24  Possible daytime lane closures between US 41 in Archer and the Levy County line after 8:30 a.m. for drainage and concrete work in preparation for resurfacing.

West University Avenue (State Road 26)  Daytime lane closures fromNorthwest 34th Street (State Road 121) to North Main Street (State Road 329) to repaint the roadway markings.

BAKER COUNTY:

County Road 125  Daytime lane closures between Fraser and Odis Yarborough roads north of Glen St. Mary after 8:30 a.m. for drainage improvements in preparation for resurfacing and widening the road.

Sixth Street (State Road 121)  Possible daytime lane closures between Seventh Street and Minnesota Avenue for placement of sod along the sidewalks.

US 90  Daytime lane closures just east of County Road 231 in Olustee Wednesday to resurface a small section of road.

BRADFORD COUNTY:

State Road 100  Daytime lane closures east of US 301 in Starke for sidewalk and driveway repairs.

CLAY COUNTY:

State Road 21  Daytime lane closures from Melrose to Keystone Heights to work on the roadway shoulders.

HAMILTON COUNTY:

Interstate 75  Daytime lane closures for resurfacing the US 129 (Exit 451) interchange ramps. Also, daytime lane closures near the agricultural inspection station and the Columbia County line (Suwannee River Bridge) to install guardrail. No work is allowed from Friday at 6 a.m. until Sunday at 9 p.m.  The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures.

US 41  Possible daytime lane closures at the intersection of State Road 6 for placement of sod and completion of minor details as part of a new flashing signal project.

US 129  Daytime lane closures between US 41 and the Suwannee County line (Suwannee River Bridge) to repaint the roadway markings.

US 129  Daytime lane closures Friday (August 10) at the Interstate 75 overpass for resurfacing.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY:

US 27  Daytime lane closures between Southwest San Pedro Road and the Suwannee County line Tuesday and possibly Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take roadway samples.

LEVY COUNTY:

Alternate 27 (US 27A) Daytime lane closures between US 129 in Chiefland and the Marion County line to repaint the roadway markings.

State Road 24  No traffic impacts scheduled however, crews are working at the Number Four Channel Bridge about two miles north of Cedar Key until early 2013 for bridge repairs.

State Road 121  Daytime lane closuresbetween US 19 in Lebanon Station and US 41 in Williston to repaint the roadway markings.

MADISON COUNTY:

State Road 14  Daytime lane closures between Interstate 10 and US 90 in Madison for ditch cleaning.

State Road 145  Daytime lane closures from north of US 90 to Hanson for collecting information on the roadway surface.

US 90  Daytime lane closures between the eastern city limits of Madison and the Suwannee County line Wednesday and possibly Thursday and Friday (August 10) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take roadway samples.

SUWANNEE COUNTY:

US 90  Daytime lane closures between the eastern city limits of Live Oak and US 129 Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to investigate the cause of depressions in the roadway.

TAYLOR COUNTY:

US 221  Daytime lane closures between Hampton Springs Avenue (US 27) and Byron Butler Parkway (US 19) in Perry to construct a driveway to the new Family Dollar just south of the Church Street intersection.

US 98  Possibledaytime lane closures to build a temporary bridge across the Aucilla River at the Jefferson County line. No detours will be required for this project.

UNION COUNTY:

State Road 121  Daytime lane closures between State Road 16 in Raiford and south of State Road 100 in Lake Butler Monday and Tuesday for resurfacing specific sections of the roadway.
