The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Brian Andrew Concepcion, 18, of Summerfield, was killed when his Jeep went off the road where it hit a tree stump and became airborne. The Jeep crossed the road where it collided with a tree and then overturned. During the rollover event the driver was ejected.

Concepcion was pronounced deceased on scene by Marion County EMS Personnel.

Witnesses said Conception lost control of the Jeep when he stood up, out of the Jeep's sunroof, to wave to a vehicle that was traveling behind.

The crash was on Marion County Road 467, south of S.E. 115 Street, at 12:17 p.m. Thursday, August 9.
