Branford Camera Club will host the third in a series of three free workshops at the Branford Public Library on Thursday, March 18, 7 p.m.
The March workshop will introduce participants to three areas of specialty photography: portrait, nature, and pet/animal photos. Skip Weigel, a retired local portrait photographer, will present the basics of portrait photography; Edwin McCook, an experienced local nature photographer, will cover basic nature photography; and Dick Bryant, a local freelance photographer with over 50 years experience, will provide guidance for taking pet/animal photos. Mentors may be requested for other areas of specialty photography such as kids, architecture, etc.
If you missed the January and/or February workshops on “Camera Basics” and “Basic Composition, members can help you catch up. Bring your camera and instruction manual with you!!! The homework for this month’s meeting is “Bridges” . . . bring your pictures to share!
The Branford Camera Club is open to all area residents. Our membership includes folks with a range of experience, film or digital, from novice to professional. There are no membership dues; only an interest in photography is required. The group meets at the Branford Public Library on the 3rd Thursday of each month, with two exceptions. We have no meeting in August, and our December meeting is held on the 2nd Thursday to accommodate the busy Holiday season.
